August Antwerp

Say hello to the August, a former Augustinian cloister transformed into a five star modern-day sanctuary by Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen. His first-ever hotel project, it perfectly encapsulates his sensory approach to design which imbues every moment of the hotel with soft sophistication. I must say the spaces — the August Suite for example, photographed here — feels less of a hotel and a lot more like a cozy apartment you’d want to call home. And that would definitely include the spa with its sauna, their sleek ice-scrub dispenser, and the outdoor swimming pond. Actually come to think of it, I could just move in.
